On 2nd March those with strong stomachs assembled at Station House at High Noon for a Pancake Party.
Bob and Val arrived and opened a bottle of wine which Mary shared. Cynthia brought her own but John declined as he was driving.
Pam and Ian waited patiently for lunch whilst David and Harry entertained the cat.
Debbie and Ali got their last “Pre-Lent” drinks in whilst Brenda managed pre Lent food and Drink (with second helpings of both) and we were all told the sad tale of how poor Harry needed three helpings as he hadn’t been given a crumb to eat by his cruel Granddad. The whole room was in tears!
Meanwhile, in the kitchen there were pancakes a plenty and plenty of hilarity.
Liz showed how much concentration was needed to toss a pancake, but such was Bob’s speed and enthusiasm when it was time for the “Showcase Double Back Flip” that all was a blur. A perfect 10 was awarded by the judges and a standing ovation.
